Street Photography

Street photography by definition means candid photography of people and humanity, however, a person doesn't have to be in a photo for it to be considered street photography. A street photograph has to be a real, unposed moment.

Each photographer has different reasons for specialising in street photography.

Nick Turnip believes street photography is important, in order to have a visual of the society we are building. The way wee see society on media especially on TV may be influenced by the organisation by which it is being managed, hence photographers who publish street photography help us see the way we really are living

David Gibson explains how street photography like any other photography takes time, you need to observe the area you are in and observe people. Your photos need to tell a story whether its people having a coffee, working, shopping or simply walking by. It's a way of communicating.

David Solomons claims street photography is about how people react with each other. Looking for the drama in everyday life.
